Sugarloaf Mountain Vineyard is committed to producing fine Bordeaux-style wines. Our unique soil and microclimate create ideal growing conditions for our carefully selected grapevines. We are 35 minutes from Washington, D.C., in the rolling hills of Comus, Maryland, within the shadow of Sugarloaf Mountain and its conservation and recreation areas.

Winery Events
We have regular barrel tastings (maximum of 40 to 45 people) primarily for Case Club members (free to them) and $18 to nonmembers. This includes a meal. We will have a “stomp” in the middle of harvest time, and we celebrate our winery anniversary in mid-May. Being a jolly place, we give a free glass of wine to any birthday celebrant, along with a rousing rendition of the Happy Birthday song. We are in the process of developing a formal wine club, which will offer many special events for participants.
