Buy Local Challenge

Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley and Secretary of Agriculture Buddy Hance have challenged all Marylanders to the annual Buy Local Challenge.

Eating local can be fun and tasty! From July 18-26, Maryland Department of Agriculture encourages Marylanders to take the "Buy Local Challenge." That means to voluntarily pledge to include Maryland-grown products in your meals for one week. That includes lots of great produce, locally produced dairy products, meat, wine.

The Frederick Wine Trail wineries are each offering their own versions of the Buy Local challenge. Visit their websites for more details- OR just visit each of the wineries and see for yourself just how good local wines can be.
